All Levels Iyengar Yoga

All Levels Iyengar Yoga at Tula Movement Arts in Bend, OregonAll Levels Iyengar Yoga is designed for both new and continuing students. All Levels students will be introduced to the same poses in stages so that you can practice at the level and pace you need to be successful. New students are welcome to take this class and when you are ready to take your yoga practice up a notch, you will be introduced to inversions and intermediate – advanced poses, with support. Everyone will be given a chance to attempt all poses before the class moves on. All Levels Iyengar Yoga incorporates yoga philosophy, pranayama and chanting, as well as support for developing or deepening your personal practice.

Yoga For Strength + Balance

In this slower paced class, your body and mind will connect as you build stability and strength for your joints and muscles while restoring flexibility. Each class focuses on gaining balance with standing and balancing poses, making it excellent for those recovering from injury, just getting back into a yoga practice, and older adults.

Tension Release Yoga

Tension Release + YogaThis yoga practice is great for a tired, sore or recuperating body. We will do myofascial release through self massage using props including therapy balls, foam rollers, yoga straps and the Great Yoga Wall. You will leave feeling lighter and more mobile. In addition to a well-balanced weekly yoga practice, each week we will focus on different areas of the body including the neck and shoulders, hips and hamstrings, and all areas of the back. In addition we will relieve anxiety and stress by practicing yoga poses that help unwind tension. All levels welcome and no yoga experience needed!

Iyengar Yoga Level 2

Sirsasana ~ HeadstandIn Level 2 classes, a wider range of poses will be introduced and beginning level poses will be refined including standing poses, inversions, back bends, forward bends, twists, supine poses and restorative practice. Level 2 incorporates yoga philosophy, pranayama and chanting, as well as support for developing or deepening your personal practice.

Prerequisite: Minimum of one year of Iyengar Yoga classes or 2 years in other methods, immediately preceding this class, or with teacher permission.
