My name is Bonnie and I am a Yoga Teacher in Bend, Oregon. Nice to meet you!

As yoga teacher my mission is to help you achieve your goals of movement, flexibility, mindfulness and relaxation through a yoga practice based on postural alignment and applied anatomy.

My vision is that yoga students will lead a life of tranquility with a peaceful mind, even amidst the normal setbacks in life and turmoil in the world.

What Is Alignment Based Yoga and Why Choose It?

Alignment based yoga focuses on performing yoga poses with attention to the proper alignment of our musculoskeletal system (our muscles and bones together) in order to maximize the benefits of the poses and minimize risk of injury. When we perform yoga poses with attention musculoskeletal alignment, we can relieve, and even correct, patterns in the body that can cause pain and deterioration.

If you are new to yoga, you should know that when you take any class with me, you will know how to go in a pose, be in the pose and come out, just like a seasoned pro, even on your first class!

I will:

  • Ensure that you can see the teacher as we practice each pose
  • Provide you with clear instructions
  • Demonstrate new poses concisely and briefly
  • Modify poses for your level of ability and fitness
  • And ensure that you progress from posture to posture, class to class, and even year to year
